Appointment 1: Eye Examination
During the first appointment, we perform a subjective refraction and check the health of your eyes using a slit lamp (microscope). We then use corneal topography to map the curvature of the cornea. This allows us to determine the correct curvature and fit of the contact lenses.
Appointment 2: Instruction and Training
During the second appointment, we teach you how to handle your contact lenses, how to insert them correctly and how to remove them safely. Proper cleaning of your contact lenses is also very important. We will give you practical advice on using facial products and makeup while wearing contact lenses.
During the first appointment, we determine which contact lenses are most suitable for you and order trial lenses. Once you are able to insert the lenses comfortably, you can take the trial lenses home to test them in your everyday environment.
Appointment 3: Trial Lens Check
For the third appointment, you will be wearing a set of trial lenses. Please wear them for at least two hours before your appointment. We check the fit and movement of the contact lenses and fine-tune the prescription where necessary.
If the lenses are not quite right yet, we will look for an alternative contact lens. If necessary, a fourth appointment will be scheduled for an additional check.
The cost of a contact lens fitting is €85.
This includes the fitting, instruction, trial lenses, trial solution and follow-up check.
