Good vision is about more than simply having the correct prescription. During a comprehensive eye examination, we take the time to assess various aspects of your vision as well as the health of your eyes.

In addition to the standard subjective refraction, we assess:

• Night vision: we evaluate how your eyes function in low-light conditions and in the dark.
• Binocular vision: we check how well your eyes work together and whether there is a good balance between them.
• Near vision: when prescribing reading or multifocal lenses, we determine the appropriate near addition.
• Eye health: using a slit lamp (microscope), we examine the anterior segment of the eye, including the cornea, conjunctiva and eyelids.
• Eye pressure: we measure your eye pressure as part of our comprehensive eye examination.

After the examination, we take the time to discuss the results and findings with you personally. We explain what we have measured, answer your questions and provide advice tailored to your eyes and visual needs.

If we identify anything during the examination that requires further investigation, we may advise you to consult your GP, ophthalmologist or another specialist. Where appropriate, we will be happy to advise you on the next steps.

Personal Attention

We believe an eye examination should never feel rushed. That is why we take plenty of time for every customer. A comprehensive eye examination takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

All eye examinations are performed by a qualified and certified optician and/or contact lens specialist.

Costs

The cost of a comprehensive eye examination is €65.

When you subsequently purchase a complete pair of glasses and/or lenses from us, the full cost of the eye examination will be deducted from your purchase.
